چکیده
Maharashtra contributes paltry 0.76 per cent of the total production tasar silk in country, with 23 MT but state is found to be dwindling which might due gaps knowledge and adoption improved silkworm rearing technologies. Therefore, present investigation was undertaken assess technologies constraints faced by farmers adopting recommended The study conducted Bhandara, Gondia Gadchiroli districts Maharashtra. “Ex-post facto” research design used for study. A 120 were randomly selected from those districts. data analyzed using SPSS software. results showed that major seen practices such as Integrated Pest Management control gall disease (91.67%), application Farm Yard Manure (FYM) or vermi-compost @4 kg/plant 2kg/plans twice a year (87.50%) foliar spraying 1.5% urea @ 15 days’ interval before 30 days (78.33%) these ranked 1st, 2nd 3rd, respectively. average 52.71 cent. Similarly, non-availability quality seeds/Dfls rearing, non availability resistance/tolerant races, non-enhancement seed cocoon/reelable cocoon prices formal fair market, no hand holding support during crop failure government, outbreak diseases weather fluctuation difficulty package insufficient fund experienced rearers. Thus, proper research, extension, communication training strategies are needed formulated so will removed could bridged order accelerate rate modern and, thus, increasing scope boosting years come.

COMPARATIVE STUDIES OF JUVENILE HORMONE III IN OUTDOOR AND INDOOR REARED TASAR SILKWORM, Antheraea mylitta D
The Tasar silkworm, Antheraea mylitta Drury (Daba TV), is an important wild, sericigenous insect and is commercially exploited in the nine states of tropical India. It encounters the vagaries of nature, pests and predators resulting in low crop yield. Rearing being outdoors, there is no control over the natural vagaries leading to irregular hatching of eggs and prolonged larval period. Not only...

Pathogenic infection in tasar silkworm, Antheraea mylitta Drury. is common and there is a breed specific response regarding tolerance. Observations reveal the possibility of differential response by haemocytes to microbial infection in different breeds. Hence, the susceptibility of three eco-races of tasar silkworm viz. Daba, Sarihan and Raily to Antheraea mylitta Cytoplasmic Polyhedrosis Virus...

Attacin gene exists as paralogous conversion and is being used for identification of strain variations in insects based on the sequence variation. Hence, a study was undertaken to analyze the sequence variation of the attacin gene isoforms in the tasar silkworm Anthereae mylitta that exists in the form of different ecoraces depending upon the environment, food plant and location. Comparison of ...
